 2012 SEASON

The committee would like to thank our club members and guests for their continued support and look forward to the 2012 season.

Salmon Fishing in Ireland

Welcome to the Official Cappoquin Salmon and Trout Anglers Association's website.

With unparalleled easy access to four miles of double bank prime salmon fishing and sea-trout fishing on one of Ireland's most famous rivers. Cappoquin is a quiet town nestled in the beautiful meandering countryside of County Waterford, Ireland, and is only 2 miles from the famous  scenic Lismore Castle and gardens. If you intend coming to Ireland on vacation or a short weekend break, why not join us for an 'unforgettable Salmon fishing experience' on the river Blackwater, one of Ireland's most prolific Salmon rivers. The prospects for the coming 2012 season are excellent with larger fish entering the river since the ban on drift nets, you might perhaps come away with the fish of a lifetime!

We welcome all anglers, and have facilities to aid the disabled angler, with a wheelyboat available to those confined to a wheelchair or physically challenged through a disability. Fishing equipment is available locally, and license and day tickets can usually be purchased on the day. Catching your first Wild Atlantic Salmon in Ireland will never be forgotten.  Hotels and Bed & Breakfast accommodation are available locally and experienced Gillies and professional tuition can be organised when needed.
